Hawaiian Electric says work to repair damaged utility lines on Oahu’s North Shore will likely last until midnight.

The utility says a fallen tree branch damaged the lines Wednesday, initially cutting power to more than 910 customers.

The outage was reported at 3:40 p.m. and most customers have since gotten power back.

However Kamehameha Highway will remain contraflowed near Sunset Beach until the repairs are complete.
