Portion of Farrington Highway in Maili reopens after traffic incident

Honolulu police have reopened the portion of Farrington Highway going eastbound near the Maile Pink Market that was closed due to a traffic incident.

A 19-year-old man was taken to a trauma center in stable condition. He has been upgraded to good condition.

A Board of Water Supply truck was traveling east when the driver heard a thump. The driver got out and saw the man lying on the road. He wasn’t sure if the man fell into the truck’s path or bumped into it.

Honolulu police say that the man may have been intoxicated.
