A Hawaii resident is locked up in a Baltimore detention center after he was charged with the 2006 murder of his wife.
Baltimore County police say at the time, Michael Amrick, 56, told them his wife, Roxanne, left their home to go shopping and never returned.
Her body was later found, wrapped in blankets in an area filled with poison ivy. An autopsy classified her death as a homicide.
Amrick was questioned in his wife’s death and investigators noticed he had a rash on his arms.
He was never arrested, and later moved to Hawaii.
The case was reviewed again by the Maryland attorney’s office and a warrant was issued for Amrick’s arrest.
He was captured last Thursday while visiting the area. Bail was set at $250,000.
