It’s just an exercise but it could save your life. The U.S. Coast guard is teaming up with some of it’s partners for a biannual search and rescue drill.
The Coast Guard will be partnering with the Honolulu Fire Department, Ocean Safety, the Honolulu police department, and the state Department of Land and Natural Resources.
The exercise is designed to test interagency communications. We’ve seen in the past whether it be a lost kayakers or standup paddler just how important communication can be between the agencies.
The exercise expected to last for a several hours Tuesday morning.
