After 30 years in business, the ferry service from Maui to Molokai is coming to an end.

Sea Link Hawaii says it is ending service next Thursday, Oct. 27, after getting approval from the Public Utilities Commission.

The company’s general manager tells us ridership has been down. Sea Link lost half-a-million dollars last year with more people choosing to fly between the two islands instead.

If you bought tickets for the ferry, Sea Link says it will be processing returns through Friday, Dec. 16.
