Fishing enthusiasts who use rod and reel or spears were at the Blaisdell on Saturday for the Hawaii Fish and Dive Expo.
More than 90 vendors are on hand this weekend showing off their latest gear to help anglers of all skill levels make sure their fish stories aren’t about the ones that got away.
Also at the expo, a world champion spear-fisher from Hawaii.
“Most people want to know how to bike and dive, how long I can hold my breath, and how I really turn spearfishing into a professional career,” said Kimi Werner, champion spearfisher, artist and adventure traveler.
Doors for the expo reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday. Admission is $6, and kids 12 and under are free.
