Students rally for safety after fellow classmate injured in hit and run

After their classmate was badly injured in a hit-and-run, students at Ilima Intermediate are stepping up with a message for everyone on the road.

Dozens of students lined the campus fence on Friday telling not only drivers but also pedestrians and bicyclists to be safe and watch out when you’re on the road.

Last week 13-year-old Kyle Sullivan was clipped by a car while riding his bicycle in the bike lane just outside of the school. He was badly injured but is recovering.Police are investigating the case.
