Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Michael Kovaloff

EDITOR’S NOTE: Michael Kovaloff has been arrested and this post has been updated.

A man with nearly two dozen convictions has been arrested again.

Police had warrants for Michael Kovaloff’s arrest in connection with drug and assault cases.

“On June 3, 2013, at 6 p.m. officers from the narcotics division executed a search warrant on a home on Hoomaka Street due to numerous complaints of drug activities,” said CrimeStoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett. “While entering the home they observed a male in a second bedroom and identified him as Kovaloff.”

He was arrested for promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree and drug paraphernalia.

A month prior to that incident in May 2013, he was also arrested for assault.

Kovaloff was wanted on two $20,000 warrants in connection with those cases for not following the terms of HOPE probation.

He was arrested on Dec. 4, at approximately 12:45 a.m., on Paiwa and Kahuailani streets.
