The Hawaiian Humane Society is giving thanks to the Honolulu Fire Department.

Firefighters helped rescue a cat that got stuck between two walls in Kalihi Tuesday.

The black and white cat fell about seven feet and got stuck in a narrow gap that was just five inches wide.

Once they got him out, firefighters named him “Wallie.”

He did not have an ID tag or a microchip, and should be available for adoption this weekend.
