The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office reports that an unresponsive scuba diver pulled from waters off the Kahala Hotel & Resort has died.

He was Timothy O’Sullivan, 46, from Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

An autopsy will be performed Monday to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Ocean Safety received a call at 10 a.m. Friday from HFD dispatch of O’Sullivan’s condition.

Lifeguards deployed a rescue watercraft and arrived to find O’Sullivan aboard Island Divers Hawaii boat. They boarded the vessel and assisted with CPR while the boat returned to the dock.
