Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union: Cyber Security on Cyber Monday

More and more, people have begun to do everything online. From shopping to entertainment to banking, the Internet has become a staple in the behaviors of many. Unfortunately, this means there are more opportunities for cyber criminals to take advantage of unsuspecting users. There are measures you can take to ensure you are not their next victim.

It is amazing how much information you can find out about someone from their social media pages. If you post a bunch of vacation pictures, you are telling criminals you are not at home. A lot of security question answers can be found on a social profile (i.e. high school, date of birth, mother’s maiden name). I’m not saying to delete your Facebook account, but just be aware that these things are happening.
