City now accepting grant proposals from non-profit community groups

The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) is requesting proposals for the 2017 Grant Program.

The deadline to submit proposals is 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30.

The city is requesting proposals from community groups seeking support for projects that stimulate economic opportunities, strengthen the unique character of Oahu’s diverse ethnic communities, and improve the quality of life for our residents.

Grants are awarded to organizations located in the City and County of Honolulu that are registered as a non-profits in the State of Hawaii.

Grant support is intended for partial funding of a project as a means of encouraging collaboration with the community and local businesses.

Applicants may request an award of no more than $15,000.
