Honolulu Fire Department fire investigators have concluded their investigation of a Kaneohe building fire which happened Tuesday morning at a Kaneke Street address.
Investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set and the case has been given to the Honolulu Police Department.
The HFD responded to the fire at 2:44 a.m. with five fire companies. Smoke and flames were emanating from the front of a one-story single family dwelling.
Personnel brought the fire under control by 2:57 a.m. and fully extinguished it by 3:08 a.m.
The home was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
The fire damage was estimated to be $80,000.
