Thousands of motorcyclists united at Magic Island on Sunday, and before going for a ride, it was all about giving.
They donated literally a truck-load of new toys for island keiki.
It was all for the Street Bikers United 2016 Toy Parade.
This year, about 5,000 bikers signed up and about 10,000 toys were gifted.
“The primary focus of this toy ride is not to raise money,” said Bruce Paige, state director for the Street Bikers United. “It is to raise presents for children. So we do raise money. We usually raise $3,000 to $4,000 to $5,000 at least in donations. But mostly it is actually the presents.”
The donations are given to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots, which distributes them to local keiki.
