Honolulu police have reopened a portion of Round Top Drive after closing earlier Sunday due to low hanging wires caused by a second round of weekend windy weather.
The closing was first announced at 10:55 a.m. and involved the part of Round Top between Makiki Street to Maunalaha Road.
The Honolulu Fire Dept. says it responded to 11 wind-related calls throughout the day, including four blown roofs.
It also caused power problems. Hawaiian Electric reported at about 1 p.m. Sunday, about 2,150 customer in the Makiki-Tantalus area lost power because of a downed tree.
Earlier in the day at around 10 a.m., nearly 1,400 customers were without electricity in Kalihi. All customers have since been restored power.
