It’s a chance for students to put together their artistic talents to work to honor our fallen veterans. It’s the City and County of Honolulu’s “Sew a Lei for Memorial Day” poster contest, which just got underway. The winning posters are used as a call for lei donations. Jeanne Ishikawa with the Dept. of Parks and Recreation and last year’s winner, Kevin Kalani, joined Wake Up 2day to talk about the contest.
