The suspect in a deadly stabbing on Kinau Street was indicted by an Oahu grand jury on Thursday, March 30.
AJ Achuo, 26, was charged with second-degree murder in a stabbing that occurred before 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25.
According to court documents, a police officer responded to an area near Kinau Superette and found Jeremy Kinon, 19, on the ground and bleeding from his stomach.
Kinon was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in extremely critical condition with a single stab wound and died at around 2 a.m.
Court documents say a witness directed officers to Achuo, who “had blood on his hands and some blood on his clothes.”
According to court documents, the weapon used to stab Kinon was a 12-inch kitchen knife with an 8-inch long silver blade, which was recovered in the same room that Achuo was arrested in.
Witnesses also told authorities they saw Achuo holding the knife.
Achuo remains in police custody, unable to post $1 million bail.
