Jenn Boneza is proud to be local journalist for over 13 years. “I’ve always loved asking questions and finding out why things are the way they are. I believe in fighting for what is right and standing up for the little guy. Being a reporter allows me do all those things,” she said.
Jenn began her career in 2004 with Oceanic Time Warner Cable writing, developing, and producing special series including Hometown History, Government Official Spotlight, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, and OC16 Team Spotlight.
Her reporting has earned her a 2016 Cultural Programming Silver and 2016 Documentary Bronze Telly award for her coverage of “WWII Nisei.”
“It was a privilege to meet and talk-story with veterans from the 442nd Infantry Regimental Combat Team, the 100th Infantry Battalion and the Military Intelligence Service. Sharing their stories of bravery and sacrifice was an honor. Had they not fought for our country, I believe Hawaii would be a very different place,” she said.
As a host of two shows on OC16, Jenn enjoys reporting and telling compelling stories about the Islands. Outside Hawaii takes you across the state and throughout the Pacific to visit the people and places that make up these culturally diverse lands. Hawaiian Xtreme Sports TV features the best athlete, sports, and activities that push the limit. Paddling in at Jaws, bombing the trails or catching 60-foot air on a kiteboard.
Jenn was born and raised in Kailua, attended Kamehameha High School, and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Journalism. In her off time she enjoys dancing, acting and spending time with her family.
