This holiday season, KHON2, Keiki O Ka Aina, and the Laulima Giving Program are all about working together to help others in the community.

Adopt-a-Family 2017

It’s the perfect time to help make the holidays brighter for a family facing challenging times. If you’d like to help a family, you can e-mail or call Keiki O Ka Aina at (808) 843-2502 for more information.

Laulima Day 2017

KHON2 News anchors and reporters will be at five malls across the state collecting new, unwrapped gifts for families in need. There will be free entertainment and lots of prize giveaways!

Laulima Day 2017 Drop-Off Locations:

  • Saturday, December 2, 2017
  • 10am – 4pm (All locations)


  • Ala Moana Center – Trini Kaopuiki and John Veneri
  • Windward Mall – Justin Cruz (10am – 1pm) Marisa Yamane and Howard Dashefsky (1pm – 4pm)
  • Ka Makana Ali’i – Manolo Morales (10am – 1pm) Ron Mizutani and Chris Latronic (1pm – 4pm)
  • Na Lama Kukui, 560 N Nimitz Highway, Honolulu, HI 96817 (10am – 4pm)

Laulima Telethon

KHON2 will open up their phone lines on Tuesday, December 19 to accept donations. Please consider helping a less-fortunate family have a brighter Christmas.

Phone lines will be open from 5am to 9am, then again from 4pm to 7pm. Please call (808) 591-6336 to make a donation.
